Buildings & Property Committee
The Buildings and Property Committee (BPC) serves as an advisory resource for the pastor with respect to the maintenance, repair, and upgrading of the parish's buildings and surrounding grounds. The committee provides advice on the scope and cost of maintenance, repair, and upgrade.
The Finance Council, along with the pastor and others works to develop the parish's annual budget. It revises monthly financial statements. The council is not responsible for fundraising, but may make recommendations for this to the Parish Council. The Finance Council provides the Parish Council with regular reports on parish finances. The council assists other parish organizations with their budgets and financial reporting.
Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus, the priemier worldwide Catholic fraternal organization, has grown from several members in one council to more than 14,000 councils and 1.8 million members throughout the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Cuba, Guatemala, Guam and Saipan. Our local Sacred Heart Knights donate time and raise money for the parish, host a monthly breakfast after Sunday Mass, and provide assistance to community and youth programs.
The Liturgical Committee coordinates many aspects of the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with the priest and includes representatives from many different parts of the parish.
Long-Range Planning Team
The Long-Range Planning Committee (Stewardship Committee) develops ideas for the long term success (increasing membership, financial stability, and other needs) of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
The Parish Council is a consultative body responsible to the pastor who is the administrator of the parish and, as such, responsible to the bishop. The Council assists the pastor by its vision of what the parish is called to become in its life. In addition, the Parish Council is concerned with the pastoral plan, that is the overall policy, objectives, and direction of the parish.
Council of Catholic Women
Sacred Heart's Parish Council of Catholic Women (PCCW) was reestablished in 2014 to support the parish through use of time, talent and treasure. As one of the parish's prominent service organizations, PCCW sponsors the annual Turkey Dinner Silent Auction, assembles Christmas and Easter baskets for less-fortunate families, collects donations for local newborns, and purchases Lighthouse Media CDs. Some of the most demanding work done by PCCW is executed behind the scenes-- the organization of funeral dinners to assist those in their darkest time of need. PCCW members communicate via telephone, email, Facebook, and word-of-mouth. Contact Julie Johnston for more information! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1464032280516415/

Our Lord's Prayer Garden
Established in 1997 and located behind the rectory, Our Lord's Prayer Garden provides a beautiful place to encounter God in nature. The quarter-mile shady path is lined with flowers, shrubs, and trees to help call to mind the Stations of the Cross and Mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary. Our Lord's Prayer Garden is open 24/7 and maintained by dedicated individuals or families who adopt a section and assist in general cleanup. To adopt a section, contact Angelique Flack at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Youth of Sacred Heart
Youth of Sacred Heart (YOSH) ministers to children in grades 7-12 by providing fun, games, spiritual growth, activities, and trips throughout the year. YOSH is also responsible for preparing high school students for the Sacrament of Holy Confirmation, typically administered every two years.
